Thermal Stability and Glass Forming Ability of Li+ Ion Conducting Glasses
Authors(1) :-D. T. Dongare The ionic conducting glasses of modifier ratio h =1.5 and former ratio y = 0.66 ≤ y ≤ 1 have been prepared with various composition by using melt quenching technique. The nature of glass samples were confirmed by XRD and SEM. The reduced glass transition temperature (Trg), width of the super cooled liquid (ΔTx), reduced crystallization temperature (γ) and Hurby parameter (KH) was determined from TG-DTA graph. Differential Thermal Analysis showed that glass transition temperature changes due to change of composition. The thermal analysis revealed that mass loss of sample decreases with increase in mole percent of Al2O3 and the GFA parameters ΔTx and γ follow the same trends with GS parameter KH. The glass sample content of 5 mole percent of Al2O3 was higher thermal stability against crystallization.
