Fibromyalgia and Obesity
Authors(3) :-Dr. Jamal Albishri, Fahad Abdullah E. Almalki, Tariq Hameed R. Alotaibi Fibromyalgia (FM) is the second most common rheumatic disease after osteoarthritis. The main feature of FM is chronic widespread pain, accompanied with other symptoms. There are currently no studies showing prevalence of FM in Saudi Arabia using new preliminary diagnostic criteria. Obesity has been identified as a comorbid condition with FM. This association can be observed from different perspectives and it is not yet fully investigated. The aims of this study are to examine the prevalence of FM and obesity in Saudi Arabia, and to investigate the relationship between these two clinical entities.
